ATRAX MORGUE was the brainchild of Marco Corbelli. This infamous power electronics/death industrial project was started in the early nineties and focused on various areas related to the field of psychopathology: murder, violent death, sadism, necrophilia, schizophrenia and insanity. The primary influences come from projects as BRIGHTER DEATH NOW and WHITEHOUSE, pioneers of minimal, evil and visceral electronics, and from the legendary Italian projects MAUTHAUSEN ORCHESTRA and THE SODALITY. The main manifesto of ATRAX MORGUE is the analysis of death, its perfection and complete habituation: injections of death to continue to live.

Ripper Box follows only two months after the immediately sold out Necro Box and continues the tribute to the degenerate art of ATRAX MORGUE, one of the greatest exponents of death industrial/power electronics in Italy. The first LP in the box is New York Ripper, originally released in 1994 on the Slaughter Productions label. It is a work of sound obsession, with the use of very low frequencies, synthetic and disturbing. The psychopathological sound is white, painful and horrific; it creates a mental alteration that initiates a brutal operation of psychic surgery, neuroses and split personality. The following LP is Lesion 22, released on Less Than Zero in 1996. The tracks on here are monolithic machines of industrial death that are portrayed in lovingly grating and rasping detail, with engines of soul rapine and pulsating, screaming contraptions eager to slice their way through soft flesh. The putrescence is tangible, and one could almost smell and taste the miasma of decay that pervades the entire LP. The third and final LP is Spasmosynthetics, released on Labyrinth Tapes in 1997. The four tracks on this LP are based on obsessive synth drones. The smell of death is soaked in every sound produced by the brilliant and twisted mind of Marco Corbelli. Anxiety, alienation and hypochondria turn into a deep paranoia in pain. Without hesitation, the bodies are emptied, leaving the field to an electronics purulence of rare power disconcerting.

The box itself is produced from Fedrigoni constellation black cardboard with silver silkscreen printing and includes inside:
three records on 140g black vinyl with black center labels and polylined black inner sleeves, each housed in a silver-on-black jacket with new cover art for each LP, and stored in separate protective plastic sleeves
two pro-CDs (not CDrs) with all of the tracks from the LPs on it, plus the tracks from the Black Slaughter LP
a 16-page A5 booklet with credits, replica of original tape artwork and more

All tracks have been remastered for this release. The vinyl was pressed in Germany for the best possible audio quality, and the box was hand-crafted in Italy. This set is strictly limited to 199 hand-numbered copies.
