Swedish death metal upstarts KRYPTS have returned, and no amount of warnings could save any nearby lifeforms from the lethal weapon that is this 7". Pure heaviness, even more brutal vocals harking to the days of ROTTREVORE and dISEMBOWELMENT and pure riff malevolence. Streaks of dark and eerie melody emerge from under the wall of sonic brutality. The guitars have gotten even heavier, and the bass sound carries the weight of a ton of dead hippos and about as much filth. This recording drips old-school evil in a way that has to be heard to be believed. The songs remains suffocating in delivery and unrepentant in their simplicity, yet epic and grandiose in scope. Make no mistake, this is the sound of death done right, and it only makes us wonder where they can take things next.
