MAURIZIO BIANCHI began to produce music in 1979, since 1980 using electronic equipment with the avowed goal "to produce technological sounds and in such a way to work on complete realizing of the modern decadence." In the beginning, he published tapes under the alias SACHER-PELZ. Recorded in August 1980 under the MB name, Cold Tape finishes the tetralogy started with Industrial Tape, Atomique Tape and Voyeur Tape.

Cold Tape is composed of two long and exquisite pieces, with muddy and powerful sounds. It seems to walk the sidewalk wrong, to walk on thorns without the rose petals. The petals were eaten by the dancers and irascible elves. Music is hardened by a hidden evil and melancholy, where everything does not want to stand in its place.

No changes of pitch were made in the mastering process. The record has been cut direct to metal (DMM) and has been pressed on 140 g black vinyl with black labels and black inner sleeve and comes in a deluxe silver silkscreen on black cardboard sleeve with new artwork and layout, limited to 99 copies with insert in luxury 160g ivory paper and an original color photograph made by MAURIZIO BIANCHI specifically for this release. All packaged in a clear plastic sleeve to protect record, cover and inserts form dirt, shelf wear and damage.
