Official repress of this industrial classic. The first ever reissue of this classic tape from the long-running Rome-based project LYKE WAKE, founded by Stefano Di Serio in 1981. Originally released on the artist's own Aseptic Tapes in 1985 and now available again for the first time in three decades.

5 tracks of dense and bleak electronics with postmortem edges. One of the best kept secrets of the '80s Italian industrial cassette culture.

Let the Suffering Grow Inside, originally released in 1986, fit right into the industrial music scene of the time. The album is an evolution compared to the previous (totally noise) works, which had received much criticism for being too extreme. With Let the Suffering Grow Inside, LYKE WAKE almost completely abandoned tapes manipulation to give form to the dark, rough and abrasive synths that became the project's trademark. If the shape, even just partially, was changed, the substance, however, remained the same. LYKE WAKE's music has always expressed isolation, pain and discomfort, the "discomfort of those who find themselves in a world not theirs, knowing that their own does not exist."
