One of Australia's most legendary extreme metal acts, ARMOURED ANGEL started out playing in the classic early speed metal/thrash style way back in 1982. Their 1985 debut demo Bapism in Blood can be compared favorably to the early works of SODOM, DESTRUCTION or SLAUGHTER LORD. However, by the time the 1990s rolled around, they were firmly in the death metal camp. In 1998 they recorded Angel of the Sixth Order, which ended up being the band's swan song. Angel of the Sixth Order features the band in fine form, playing a mix of the BOLT THROWER-influenced style they performed in the early- to mid-nineties with the thrash of their ancient roots. One of the monuments of Australian extreme metal!
