The essence of nothingness. KENOPSIA is a lethargic chimera depicting visions of that which is not. Emerging from the nethermost abyss, this void of misery unveils its first demo, entitled Languid. In the course of 13 minutes, KENOPSIA mourns its bleak perception with two pieces of ambient turbulence, a static draught of disharmony in a drone hiss of ritual noise. Hopelessly oppressive, Languid drags the listener through desolated images of dread with remnants of human, mortal grief by the spectral murmur of a distorted mutterer. A sheer mantra to a forlorn vacuum, the aural traits of this demo are complemented by a tabula rasa of nihilism emanated by the evoking artwork of desolated layers. Released by Black Gangrene on a limited cassette tape edition, Languid is the dawning of a journey through grievous hamlets of that which once was, distressing, intensely all-consuming.
