The material is an extremely dense & thickly layered form of Dark Drone/Ambient/Industrial/Sludge music. The fairly quiet and fairly hissy sound quality only added to the mysterious & nearly indecipherable nature of the music. This is very dark, morose largely non-rhythmic drone music that some people might care to call "Dark Ambient" or "Death Industrial" or "Industrial Drone". Overall the music is extremely consistent & carries the same nekro/funereal vibe throughout the release.

"VHORB are by no means black metal, but the essence of the project feels like it necessarily sits squarely adjacent to black metal. Kind of like very early HUSERE GRAV (Haunted Tomb, The Great Empty) or maybe even DOPPLEGANGER. It edges right up and alongside black metal...pressing firmly against the structured walls...and leeches its shadows. The sticky umbra is then roughly shaped into semi-comprehensible entities.
