Originating in Bas-St-Laurent in 2005, CIEL NORDIQUE is one of the forerunners of patriotic Québécois black metal. After a demo that was mainly distributed to contacts only at that time, the band then disappeared in the shadows. Until now. 15 years later, they have returned with a brand new EP featuring 6 tracks. The national thematic is still present in CIEL NORDIQUE's music and more convincing than ever before. The songs are varied, oscillating between brutal black metal and more ethereal parts as well as martial and even folk. The riffs are catchy, dynamic and supported by shouted French poetry. A modern production supports the intensity and ambience of this truly atmospheric black metal duo.
